Four tools, one goal: maximum security for your data 

The Fingerprint Check (FPC) analyzes data at the aggregated table-field level, providing a quick overview of the condition and migration status of key ERP modules. The tool counts entries by organizational units such as company codes or plants and supplements this analysis with logical consistency checks between header, line item, and detail tables. Up to five systems can be compared in parallel. This allows data quality to be validated across entire system landscapes. In practice, the Fingerprint Check is often used prior to a migration to capture pre-migration data. After the migration, it is run again to analyze post-migration data and highlight any discrepancies.

With the Foreign Key Check (FKC), DCS Validate goes one step further: The tool checks foreign key relationships at the cell level and precisely identifies inconsistencies. If violations are detected, it provides not only specific error messages but also aggregated statistics and sample values to help users more quickly understand causes and effects. This is a particularly important contribution to ensuring data integrity, especially in complex data models. 

The Automatic Report Check (ARC) does not examine the tables themselves, but rather the business perspective on financial and master data. This approach is particularly relevant for modules such as FI, CO, AA, and MM, where correct reports play a central role in compliance and financial accuracy. Since ARC generates traceable documentation and audit trails, the tool is also ideally suited to support audits. In addition to standard SAP reports, it is also possible to integrate customer-specific reports. Since the process runs in both the source and target systems, a direct comparison is immediately available, and discrepancies can be quickly identified. 

Tablecount provides transparency at a glance: The tool records the number of rows and key metadata for all tables in a system, quickly highlighting changes before and after a migration. 

This allows for the early detection and targeted analysis of unexpected data loss or data growth. In addition to the sheer number of data records, Tablecount also takes into account technical metrics such as row width, database size, and the number of indexes, as well as metadata from the Data Dictionary. The client identity check offers additional value, allowing users to determine - via hash comparison - whether data is identical across different clients. To efficiently process large system landscapes, Tablecount supports parallel processing across multiple background jobs.

Everything at a glance, all in one place 

Object Checks validate individual business objects and automatically check the consistency of SAP master and transaction data. The tool uses standard SAP functionalities, ensuring that validation follows the same business rules that apply during day-to-day operations. This makes Object Checks particularly valuable for ensuring that migrated data meets the requirements of the target system. 

This approach is complemented by the Reporting UI, one of the latest modules from DCS Validate. It consolidates access to validation projects, objects, and results in a central interface, thereby facilitating both management and analysis. Features such as project management, parallel processing, snapshot creation, version comparison, and Excel export make the UI a powerful tool for reporting and validation. As the Reporting UI undergoes continuous development, it is gradually evolving into a central platform for all DCS Validate tools.
