The Natuvion Data Conversion Server (DCS) is our intelligent transformation software from the cloud used for the whole range of data transformations.
Using the integrated Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) platform, data from various sources can be read, analyzed, extracted, transformed, and consistently written into the target structure. The platform can be used within SAP NetWeaver or SAP HANA based systems onPremise or as a cloud instance for any structured or unstructured data/databases. With the DCS, systems can be restructured or consolidated. Carve-outs, data migrations, and data cleansing can also be executed.
An essential advantage that the DCS provides is the automation of data transformation processes and the preservation and reuse of recurring project activities or requirements in the form of templates.
The integrated data quality management known as Natuvion’s Quality Assurance Service (QAS), provides the necessary security for complex transformation projects. The QAS provides various data object-based plausibility checks as well as technical data comparison analyses and data integrity checks.
The DCS has an integrated task control that makes each individual work step within a project transparent. This means that all stakeholders at all locations of a transformation project are involved in the process and current status. Unexpected events can be dealt with immediately and unnecessary status slides and meetings are reduced.
The DCS is specially designed for extremely large amounts of data and can read, transform, write, or delete data natively at a database level. To further optimize system downtimes to a Near-Zero Downtime (NZDT), the DCS supports intelligent NZDT techniques such as data synchronization (trigger) and warm/cold data identification, as well as waving mechanisms.
Every activity in the DCS is stored in an audit-proof manner in the integrated monitoring and logging system. It also offers the function to define the respective aggregation levels as required and based on roles. Functionalities such as message clusters, black & white listing, triggers, own filters, etc. help to simplify monitoring and increase quality.
With the DCS, data verification, data quality measurement, and data and process integrity can be automated. The data can be checked both qualitatively and technically. With this functionality, it is possible to test and verify data before and after the transformation before the system is handed over to testers or end-users. The applications range from data integrity assurance during an SAP S/4HANA transformation to regular data quality measurements during operation.
Personal data that can be read, transformed, or written with the DCS can be de-personalized with the integrated anonymization functionality. This ensures that test systems with personal data are treated in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any other data privacy laws during the transformation. The DCS also supports the search and identification of personally identifiable information (PII) data with an integrated analysis technology.
The DCS can process virtually any data structure in its internal container architecture and thus simulate data transformations and/or mapping applications without changing the data in the database. This significantly increases implementation quality and speed.
With the DCS, two essential data synchronization scenarios can be mapped. On one hand, the DCS can trigger based (DB trigger, threshold values, API) synchronize data in push mode. On the other hand, a time-systematic data synchronization can be mapped in push or pull mode. Any complex selection and transformation functions can be used for data synchronization.
