SAP transformations are never a solo act — they’re a team sport. And few teams work together as seamlessly as Natuvion and adesso business consulting. For more than a decade, the two companies have combined consulting excellence and technological expertise to deliver faster projects with lower risk. We took a closer look to find out why this partnership works so well — and what’s next.
Holger Strotmann, CEO, Natuvion GmbH: Our strengths complement each other perfectly. Natuvion brings deep expertise in SAP data migrations along with the Natuvion Data Conversion Suite (DCS) as a reliable migration platform. adesso contributes strong consulting capabilities, process management expertise, and in-depth industry knowledge. Together, we ensure that digital transformation is efficient and successful.
Olaf Reiter, Board Member, adesso business consulting AG: This partnership is a true win-win. Technology, consulting, and project management work hand in hand — creating real value for our customers. At the same time, we benefit from Natuvion’s tools and training programs, which enable our transformation teams to use the Natuvion DCS independently. How did the collaboration between Natuvion and adesso begin — and how has it evolved?
Olaf Reiter: Our collaboration started as long ago as 2006 with joint customer projects. When Natuvion was founded in 2014, this cooperation became an official partnership — at that time it was still with Quanto AG. Landmark projects such as those at EnBW and E.ON further strengthened our collaboration. Roles were flexible: sometimes Natuvion acted as the general contractor with Quanto as a subcontractor, and sometimes the other way around. In 2020, Quanto AG became adesso business consulting AG.
Since then, the partnership has continued successfully under the adesso name — with the same openness, mutual trust, and clear focus on delivering successful customer projects together.
Holger Strotmann: Our teams clicked immediately. What still defines our collaboration today is open communication, strong trust, and a shared understanding of quality — values that consistently apply at every level, from top management to consultants working day to day on projects.
Holger Strotmann: Customers benefit from accelerated migrations, clearly defined processes, and reduced risk. They receive bundled expertise in both technology and consulting and can rely on efficient project execution.
Olaf Reiter: Since 2023, we have been using the Natuvion Data Conversion Suite exclusively as our migration tool across all projects. The results speak for themselves: faster project completion, improved data quality, higher user acceptance, and lower overall costs. Our dedicated transformation team ensures that customers fully leverage the platform’s capabilities.
Markus Ingelmann, CRO, adesso business consulting AG: A standout project was the separation of utility systems at the Austrian utility firm Wiener Stadtwerke — one of the ten largest SAP projects carried out by a European energy provider. Natuvion managed the data migration using Natuvion DCS, while adesso handled project management. The result: delivery ahead of schedule, high-quality data, and very satisfied users.
Holger Strotmann: This project clearly demonstrates how combining technology, structured project governance, and close collaboration enables successful transformation. We achieved similarly strong results in projects at EnBW and E.ON, where we efficiently handled data migration and system separation. Most recently, we completed a project at Uniper, laying the foundation for their digital transformation — once again highlighting the value of our partnership.
Holger Strotmann: The Natuvion Data Conversion Suite enables adesso to work independently while we provide advisory support. Standardized processes, automation, and integrated quality checks accelerate every project and minimize risk — even for highly complex data migrations.
Markus Ingelmann: Thanks to targeted training and enablement programs, our teams use the Natuvion DCS independently — from data analysis through migration to validation. This allows us to support customers effectively from the very beginning, while significantly reducing the project duration. The combination of platform and expertise is a clear competitive advantage.
Olaf Reiter: Customer focus, quality, and innovation are core values at both companies. In addition, openness, pragmatism, and accountability form a solid foundation for our partnership.
Holger Strotmann: Our shared culture enables fast decision-making, clear communication, and true partnership — all essential for complex SAP transformations. Operationally, our teams work as equals: adesso uses the Natuvion DCS independently, while we provide advisory and technological support. This ensures efficiency, high quality, and measurable project results.
Markus Ingelmann: Clearly defined roles and regular alignment complement this culture perfectly. This allows us to move projects forward independently, while ensuring customers receive optimal support from day one.
Holger Strotmann: We combine technological expertise with consulting excellence to create real value. While our historical focus was on utilities, we now jointly deliver tailored solutions for the public sector and healthcare as well. Customers benefit from efficient, future-proof SAP and data projects that are practical, scalable, and aligned with specific industry requirements.
Olaf Reiter: Together, we simplify digital transformation, increase efficiency, and deliver solutions that generate tangible business value. It’s especially exciting that we’re expanding our partnership into new industries, optimizing processes, and offering scalable solutions for the future.
